ESEF Taxonomy 2019 released

At the end of December, ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority) published the ESEF Taxonomy 2019 (see ESMA notification). According to ESMA, the taxonomy meets all relevant technical and legal requirements of the updated ESEF Regulation. Further information regarding the technical innovations can be found on the IASB website.

In addition to the taxonomy itself, further technical information is also provided for download.

Annual reports with IFRS consolidated financial statements must be tagged with this taxonomy and published in iXBRL format from 2020.

In order to deposit the new taxonomy in toolsxbrl from firesys, the following "Entry-Point" for the taxonomy must be deposited:
